What People's Say About Place

If you’re anywhere near Norwalk, Cafe Social is a must-visit. The food and atmosphere are great, but what truly stands out is the consistently excellent service, especially compared to many other cafés in the area. It’s almost always busy, which speaks to how good it is, yet the team manages the crowd impressively well. They handle seating efficiently, communicate wait times clearly, and keep things organized without making anyone feel rushed. What really sets them apart is their balance. Guests waiting for tables are acknowledged and kept informed, while those already seated continue to receive attentive, friendly service. It’s rare to see a café manage both so seamlessly. Cafe Social continues to raise the bar. Highly recommended.

We drove an hour to this restaurant from NY because a friend said the food was good. We were not disappointed. The presentation of my hot chocolate brought a smile to my face. All of my food tasted good and was a nice size proportion. We were able to meet one of the owners, Elpida, and she was so pleasant to talk to. I would go back again. There is a parking lot in the back, but we didn't know so we parked on the street.

The food was absolutely delicious, fresh waffles with strawberries, great sandwiches, and amazing specialty drinks. Lots of vegetarian options which is nice. It’s such a cozy and reliable spot for a relaxed lunch. Highly recommend!

We ordered breakfast for our 1 year anniversary. I put in the notes to the restaurant it was our anniversary and they sent us a free coffee cake saying happy anniversary with our order. Great food. Great people. Will be back

Overall a solid experience here. The taco fries were amazing. The sweet and savory sandwich was just too sweet. It was decent but way too heavy and sweet for us. Same as the velvet hot chocolate. It was good for a few sips but then felt overpowering and really dense and sugar filled. It was good but can be a bit much. The lemon chicken soup was also very lemon heavy - basically all you’d really taste. It was good but again only for a few bites then was overpowering. Maybe we just got some wrong items - I definitely would come back and try other stuff. Just wanted to throw my thoughts here. The vibe was very nice here as well and the menu does still have a lot of other items I would choose!

Menu looked great, lots of options in food and beverages…however that may be a mistake if the kitchen cannot handle/execute it all. I really do not like to say anything negative about food service establishments, but it’s annoying when “sweet potato hash browns” are part of a meal but what you get is luke warm mushy bits instead of crispy cubes and when I asked, they looked at me like I had two heads. If you can’t prepare sweet potatoes properly they simply should not be on the menu. Stick to regular potatoes. You don’t have to reinvent the wheel or try to be unique if you can’t pull it off. Maybe it was an off day?

Stopped by Cafe Social for their Father’s Day brunch — it was packed, which gave it a lively vibe. The food was solid; I had the egg wraps and tried one of their lavender drinks, both were really good. However, service was a bit off. We had to wait quite a while for milk, and by the time it arrived, the coffee had gone cold. The staff seemed overwhelmed and not very attentive, which took away from the overall experience. Good food, but they need to improve the service — especially during busy hours.

Incredible! I’ve been meaning to give them a try, (from Queens) and today I finally got to go and they did not disappoint! The decor is carefully thought out, and welcoming. The staff was professional, helpful and kind. I ordered the harvest salad with grilled chicken and it was delicious. I love extra dressing and they gave me plenty without request. The salad itself was delicious and chicken was tender and cooked perfectly. I cannot wait to go back and try some of their specials. Amazing
